Sofia Coppola representing Marc Jacobs photographed by Inez and Vinoodh for CDFA Journal in 2011

The second opera, a scene cut from the Coppola film. The scene was ultimately cut to strengthen the effect of the opera scene, making the contrast between the first opera (where she is warmly applauded) and the last (where she is rejected) stronger.
In this scene, although she is ultimately applauded, two courtiers are heard snidely remarking that German opera (which the queen sponsored) was terrible. Also, Lamballe has been moved to the seat behind the queen, while Polignac is now at her side.
